My broad beans in Bed 1 are covered in black flies. What should I do?

That is blackfly. Looking at Bed 1, you had the same problem in May last year and the soft soap solution worked. Pinch out the growing tips now -- blackfly cluster there first. Then apply soft soap spray. Your runner beans in Bed 2 are also at risk, worth checking those too.
